Dr. Richard N. Bash, DDS, voted as the top dentist in Bucks County, PA in The Intelligencer Best of Bucks Mont Readers Poll, believes in giving back to the community.
That is why we are kicking off the season of giving early by holding the Bash Dental Thanksgiving Community Food Drive. This event takes place from Mon. Oct. 24 until Mon. Nov. 14.
Who Benefits
We are partnering with the Bucks County Opportunity Council to benefit those in need right here in Bucks County. Per their website, their mission to reduce poverty and partner with our community to promote economic self-sufficiency.
This great community organization gave us the option to support one of 27 different providers and food banks. We chose to support the Bucks County Housing Group Doylestown Food Pantry. They dedicate their time to helping people who are dealing with food insecurity.
Food insecurity is when households are uncertain of having or are unable to obtain enough food to take care of all members in the house. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, this issue affects 12.7 percent of American households. Food pantries are great ways of counteracting this sad occurrence.
Items to Donate
We encourage members of the community and past, present and prospective patients to stop by and drop off food for this great cause. Suggested non-perishable food items include:
These preferred foods must be non-expirable.
Perks of Donating
This food drive helps you do your part in making our community a better place. In addition to helping feed hungry people, Bash Dental is offering another perk. We are giving a 15 percent off coupon (up to $50) that’s good for the services received during one visit to our dental office for anyone who brings in three of the aforementioned food items. There is no expiration for this deal. Dr. Bash has even offered to match the total amount of food that’s donated pound for pound.
This coupon is good for extractions, cosmetic dentistry, bite correction, family dentistry, routine care, dentures, dental bonding, periodontics, endodontics, dental crowns and bridges and our 24/7 dentist service for the Philadelphia area.
